Fellow Members of the Gamecock Nation,
I’ll be Frank. This Ron Morris guy - he’s got to go. Here’s what I’m doing and I’d love your help. Go to the State’s Facebook Page and Post on their profile photo “FIRE RON MORRIS!” (Or whatever, go on a tirade if you wish. I only ask that you keep it smart - we’re South Carolina Fans after all.) Then like your post and the photo and get that grassroots thing going. I acknowledge upfront that it probably won’t work, but it feels good anyway. Fight the Man and defend Spurrier’s good name.Incase you didn’t know, “Morris dropped a “Penn State” bomb on the USC coach – essentially comparing his petulance with the press to the child sex abuse scandal that rocked Happy Valley last year.” - Yeah. A Sports Writer in Columbia, South Carolina. Seriously.

As a graduate from USC’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and a lover of freedom, I naturally believe in freedom of speech. However, this freedom doesn’t protect a journalist from consequences in the realm of Public Opinion (The Gamecock Nation) or the marketplace (The State of South Carolina, where The State publishes their paper)Practice your freedom of speech! Let’s can this bastard for the Ol’ Ball Coach!

LET’S DO THIS!

My earthquake survival story

It was around 1:50 PM when it happened. I was just sitting there at my desk, minding my own business. And then, out of nowhere, it hit. It started off small but quickly grew out of control. It was unlike anything I’d seen in weeks. It was 50, then 100, then 500 Facebook status updates about an earthquake. It was horrible — so, so horrible. Not sure if I’ll ever recover.
